Our fully licensed facility at Knowsley, Merseyside has a number of technologies available designed to treat, control and manage a wide range of waste streams. Our site chemists and technicians are highly trained in hazardous waste management treatment techniques. Our facility can accept, manage and treat a varied range of waste materials. Our acceptance criteria encompasses toxics, flammables, oxidisers as well as non hazardous materials. The site can accept materials in quantities ranging from lab smalls to bulk tanker loads.
Our latest addition to the site is a Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) unit. The DAF Unit can treat in excess of 300m3 per day of aqueous waste and is designed to remove separable oils, greases and heavy metal contamination content from effluent, thereby minimising environmental impacts on site receptors. The unit is also designed to significantly reduce the Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) levels of effluent, allowing subsequent discharge to the site’s trade effluent system. Significant volumes of liquid waste can be pH adjusted including acid/alkaline neutralisation in the site’s bulk tank storage. This facility also encompasses extensive phase separation and decanting operations.
Contaminated packaging may also be de-contaminated and cleaned in order to ensure re-use and recycling options are made available to our customers.

From the receipt of a written specification of the waste through to final disposal, each job is given a unique number, which ensures accurate identification of individual waste streams.
